HubSpot current vs legacy pricing: what changes for your bill?

Last verified October 1, 2026 · Next check November 1, 2026

Existing HubSpot customers keep legacy pricing: hubs, platform fees, Core, Sales and Service Seats, and marketing contact tiers. New customers buy on current seats-and-credits pricing: one edition, GTM and Ops Seats, and credits for emails, workflows and AI. Platform fees and contact tiers go away, but every email and workflow action now has a price.

What moves your bill up or down

Platform fees disappear. On legacy pricing, Marketing Hub Professional costs $800 a month before contacts. On current pricing, the same three people cost $270 in GTM Seats.

Email and workflows get a meter. On legacy pricing, sending emails and running workflows costs nothing beyond your plan. On current pricing, the first 10,000 sends a month cost 15 credits each ($0.15 a send), and the first 10,000 workflow actions cost 3 credits each. Packs bring the unit price down, but this is the line most likely to surprise a marketing team.

Seats move a little. A Professional GTM Seat costs the same as a Professional Sales Seat on legacy pricing. On Enterprise, a GTM Seat costs $175 against $150 for a Sales Seat.

Contacts stop being a pricing lever. Marketing contact tiers are replaced by record capacity: 250,000 records on Professional and 15,000,000 on Enterprise, counting every object, not just contacts. You no longer pay for marketing contacts, but a large database can pass the record capacity. Above it, Professional adds 1,000 records for $5 a month.

Three scenarios

Monthly list prices, paid annually. "Legacy" is the cheaper of buying hubs separately or the Customer Platform. Current pricing excludes Ops Seats and onboarding, which aren't published yet.

What to ask your HubSpot rep

  1. Which pricing model will our contract be on?
  2. How many emails and workflow actions do you expect us to use, and which packs fit?
  3. What will Ops Seats and onboarding cost us on seats-and-credits pricing?
  4. If we're an existing customer, what happens to our pricing at renewal?

FAQ

No. Existing customers stay on legacy hub-based pricing. Seats-and-credits pricing is for new customers, and HubSpot is rolling it out gradually.

It depends on your team and usage. Platform fees and marketing contact tiers are gone, but emails and workflow actions now use credits. Teams that send a lot of email can pay more; small teams on per-seat hubs often pay about the same for seats.

GTM Seats for people who work with customers, and Ops Seats for people who build and run the systems. HubSpot hasn't published the Ops Seat price yet.

Yes, more are included: 5,000, 10,000 and 15,000 a month on Starter, Professional and Enterprise. But emails and workflow actions now draw on them as well.
